MONDAY IS LOOKING GOOD. We completed our first round a 3 day inpatient Chemo. Since all Good things come in threes, I have listed the top three things that I am most thankful for today.
First of all. Tyler has NO PAIN!! The swelling in his knee is going down and he is finally getting some relief. He is moving some and slept in his own bed for the first time in forever!! We are slowing coming off of what seems to be large doses of oxicotin and Loritabs. DOWN TO ONE A DAY.
Second – Little little nausea now! I had to go get a pepperoni Pizza last night for him. (SHHHHH – NO veggies included) 🙂 . He is tired and weak but that may be the anti-nausea meds and some short term effects if the chemo. GETTING STRONGER EACH DAY.
AND THIRD!!! His lab came back yesterday and Marietta Carter, RN called with the results – All of his levels are normal!!! The number (NOT SURE what it is actually called) that detects the bone cancer was at 1200 at Mercy and is now at 800 which means the tumor responded well to the treatment. This is good news for the post surgery chemo.
I know this is just the first leg and we will have tougher times, BUT NOT TODAY. God has blessed us today and for that we are thankful!!
FAITH OF ONE TINY MUSTARD SEED, will move mountains! We are scheduled for round two on May 2nd so keep praying and I will keep Trying!
So everyone – HAVE A GREAT WEEK! I KNOW WE ARE GOING TO.
THANKS FOR THE MANY PRAYERS, GIFTS, CARDS, AND CALL. We appreciate you all so much.
LOVE YOU SEE YOU SOON
